Since fall 2005, I have held the position of Assistant Professor of English at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I teach undergraduate courses about composition theory, emerging media, writing technologies, and writing pedagogy. As a core faculty member in the Center for Writing Studies, I teach graduate courses about genre, environmental rhetoric, social protest, and discourse analysis.

The Center for Writing Studies at UIUC is an interdisciplinary academic unit that facilitates research and promotes graduate study in the areas of written composition, language, literacy, and rhetoric.
