Fellowship Payment

Dissertation Travel Grants
Information regarding Graduate College Dissertation Travel Grants has been distributedby email. If you did not receive the information but feel that you should have, contact Stephanie Shockey at

Conference Travel Grants
Applications for fall 2009 Conference Travel Grants have been distributed by email. If you did not receive an application please stop by the Grad Studies Office or contact Stephanie Shockey at

Reminder to Grad Students
The Registrar does not take account of teaching and research appointments when certifying full-time status of students. TAs with student loans must carry 12 hours when full-time certification is necessary. (Requirements can differ; check with your loan company.) If you have any questions concerning your status, check with Stephanie Shockey in 210 EB.
Pictures
Anyone wanting an updated picture should see Chris in 210 EB by September 11. These pictures will be posted in the glass case outside 208 EB.

Kimberly Koch was chosen to receive the Charity Cannon Willard Scholarship from the North American Branch of the International Christine de Pizan Society (NAB-ICPS) this year to present her paper, “The Three Genders of Prophetic Authority in Christine de Pizan’s La Mutacion de Fortune,” at the International Christine de Pizan Colloqium, in Bologna in September. Her project was the unanimous choice of the members of the selection committee, who remarked on its potential to make an original contribution to Christine de Pizan studies.

If you have not submitted a copy of your syllabus for each class you are teaching this semester, please do so as soon as possible to Maureen in room 200 or mailbox #92. It is our department’s policy to keep on file syllabi for each section of all English Department courses (Literature, Rhetoric, Creative Writing and BTW).
