English Student Council (ESC)

Montage

Montage is a periodical of creative writing and visual art, edited and designed by undergraduate students of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Issues of the journal are viewable online at montagejournal.wordpress.com and montagearts.tumblr.com. The purpose of the journal is to publish the finest, freshest, most innovative creative work that our campus has to offer. We strive to recognize talented undergrads and to foster artistic creativity and experimentation. If you are an undergraduate student at the UIUC, submit your prose, poetry, non-fiction, traditional art, photography, and anything else visual and printable to montage journal@gmail.com.

       

Undergraduate Literary Criticism Journal (ULCJ) Initiative

We are excited to announce the development of an online literary criticism journal, in cooperation with the English Department, the Office of Undergraduate Research, and the University Library, that intends to:


  • Create a venue for undergraduate English students to publish and share literary criticism for a wider academic community
  • Give students opportunities to revise scholarly writing for publication or to work on an editorial board
  • Foster collaboration among faculty, librarians, administration, and undergraduates

  • The Journal will solicit submissions in late fall 2013 for its debut in Spring 2014, issued on a new undergraduate journal portal in the UIUC Library‚Äôs Scholarly Commons.

    Students interested in joining the initiative should write to the journal's Executive Board at uiuclitjournal(at)gmail.com. Further details are available in the English Advising Office.
